How do I book a wedding band?
Booking is very simple. Once you’ve chosen the formula and confirmed availability, we’ll send you a personalized quotation covering all the elements we’ve discussed.
Signing the quotation and paying a deposit (usually 40%) makes the date reservation official. The balance is paid on completion of the service.
We remain available throughout the preparation phase to fine-tune details and adapt to changes in your organization.
Is it possible to schedule an appointment in person or by videoconference?
Yes, of course. We are happy to offer you a preparatory meeting, either in person in Paris, or remotely via Zoom or Google Meet. This moment of exchange allows us to better understand your expectations, to advise you on the most suitable formula, and to define together the musical and logistical details of your wedding.

Can the orchestra play outdoors (garden, estate, etc.)?
Yes, the Shades of Blue orchestra is perfectly capable of playing outdoors, whether for a garden cocktail party, an open-air ceremony or a country reception on an estate.
In this case, we provide an adapted installation, with a stand-alone sound system if necessary. It’s important, however, that the musicians have access to a protected area, particularly in the event of direct sunlight or bad weather. A shelter (arbour, barnum, pergola, etc.) is recommended to guarantee both the comfort of the performers and the safety of the equipment.
Do you also travel outside the Paris region?
Absolutely. We’re based in Paris, but we travel all over France, offering seamless logistics and turnkey support. We’ll give you a personalized quote based on the location of your event.
Do you supply sound equipment?
Yes, we have our own professional sound equipment, perfectly suited to reception venues. As an option, we can provide an extended PA system for larger spaces, as well as a wireless microphone for your speeches or presentations.
Can we choose which songs are played during the wedding?
Of course you can. We offer a refined selection of tunes to suit every mood (cocktail party, dinner party, dance party). If you have a favorite or a symbolic song, we can integrate it into our repertoire, subject to musical feasibility.
How long does a musical performance last?
Our services generally range from 1 to 5 hours, including breaks. This often corresponds to 2 to 4 musical sets interspersed with short breaks, divided up according to the highlights of your reception: cocktail party, dinner, ball opening, etc.
We adapt the rhythm and duration to your program, maintaining musical fluidity throughout the event.
For large-scale weddings, it is also possible to plan a performance spread out over the whole day, notably in quintet or sextet form, with musical coordination of the different moments: ceremony, cocktail party, dinner and evening.
When is the best time to book the orchestra?
Our wedding jazz band recommends that you contact us 6 to 12 months in advance, especially if your wedding is in high season (May to September). This allows us to guarantee the availability of the desired band, and to prepare your performance in the best possible conditions.
